Annual Spring Insight Convention and Trade Show - Attend the annual convention in Richmond each spring and take more ABO/NCLE certified classes. Also attend a trade show with vendors from all optical labs and wholesalers!
Annual Fall Symposium - Attend the fall symposium each year to earn additional ABO/NCLE credits and to network with your peers.
Job Postings - As a member, you can post - free of charge - job advertisements. If you're looking for something new, you can also post your own announcement.
Company Listing - Members can elect to have their company's contact information listed on the OAV website.
Advocacy - OAV stands as the point of contact for statewide legislative activities concerning the optician profession in Virginia. Your voice will be heard.
Membership In OAA - OAV Members are also members of the OAA and are able to take advantage of all the benefits offered by the OAA.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Active Member Active Memberships are open to any licensed opticians. Dues are $125 per year. They are based on a calendar year and are due January 31st of each year. Active membership includes membership in the OAA and entitles member to discounted registration fees for conferences.

Associate Member Students and apprentices are considered associate members. The OAV is interested in nuturing new talents and as a result associate membership is free and entitles members to attend classes at conferences for no cost. Once an associate member become licensed, they are entitled to a year's free active membership in the OAV as reward for earning their license.
